All about me...
Hello, I'm Linda! I am a former assistant head teacher from Manchester, England. All our family is back home, three sons and their partners, four gorgeous grandchildren and lots of extended family! We love having them visit when possible and the children love to bake their favorites!
My husband Mike and I currently live in Stratford, Connecticut. I missed so much of my homeland’s bakes that I began making the things I could not buy readily here.
Having a grandma on my Dad’s side born in Dumfries, Scotland, a Grandad from my Mum’s side born in Southern Ireland and being brought up in England with yearly trips to beautiful Wales, my baking is very much inspired by British culture.
I have been baking for as long as I can remember and still love to use my grandmother’s mason bowls and utensils. There is something very therapeutic about a good baking session! Choosing the recipe, mixing the ingredients, (often by hand even though I have the gadgets), thinking about who I am baking for and filling the house with the warmth and aromas that come from the oven. Everything is very much home baked with love!
After all, every day is a special day for somebody!
